The FH4 is suitable for a variety of welding applications whilst offering a comfortable lightweight solution. The headtop offers two distinct features that will allow the wearer ease of use and comfort. The new Scott ratchet mechanism allows the wearer to secure the headtop in place and ensures an easy customisable fit, whilst the head cradle is pivotable allowing the user to "flip up" the visor after welding. This visor can be securely locked in the upright position if required and pulled down in one simple movement.

FH4 is designed to allow the user to easily set personal parameters to ensure maximum comfort in usage, hence creating their own personal headtop.

Available with a choice of ADFs the FH4 integrates a user friendly ADF replacement mechanism. The user can opt for an ADF version with manual or digital operating function, yet both allow the wearer to set their shade parameter preferences according to their individual needs. The premium 5500V ADF version also offers a grinding mode. There is no requirement for battery replacement resulting in less downtime and increased productivity.

The system enables superb fit for all head shapes and sizes, complimented by the comfort pad that fits below the occipital bone and soft, pliable materials that fit around the face contours. FH4 allows simple adjustment once donned, the ratchet can be tightened via the hand wheel, while side buttons allow forward and backward adjustment to provide optimal fit.

The FH4 head top is part of the 3M Scott Safety modular Powered Air Respirator (PAPR) system and is fully compatible with the Proflow 160l/min (note the FH4 welding headtop is not approved for use with the standard Proflow 120l/min version) and Tornado powered respirators. So whatever your welding application, there is a 3M Scott Safety respiratory solution to suit your needs. The FH4 Proflow Ready-Pak offers a ready to go welding respiratory solution; in one handy reusable container you get all you need to start work rights away.

*Existing Proflow 120l/min users can have their units upgraded to 160l/min by an approved service centre for use with the FH4 headtop only (not other Scott Safety headtops). Please also note that once upgraded, the Proflow 160 l/min unit is approved only with the following filters: PSL, A-PSL & ABEK-PSL.
