The Hanna sugar digital refractometers are avaliable in 4 models:-

  HI 96801 is a general purpose sugar refractometer
  HI 96802 is for Fructose sugars
  HI 96803 is for Glucose sugars
  HI 96804 is for Inverted sugars

All are rugged, portable and water resistant meters that offer you electronic accuracy for the same price as a mechanical refractometer.

The HI 96801/2/3/4 are optical instruments that employ the measurement of refractive index to display the sugar content in samples. The measurement of refractive index is simple and quick. Samples are measured after a simple user calibration with deionized or distilled water. Within seconds the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample and converts it to % Brix concentration units. Digital refractometers eliminate the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and yet are compact and portable for measurements in the field.

The measurement technique and temperature compensation employ the methodology in the ICUMSA Methods Book (International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis).

Hanna refractometers are supplied complete with (1) 9V battery and instructions.
