The Radhound Multi-purpose Digital Radiation Meter by Southern Scientific is a meter suitable for use in survey radiation digitally and monitor to contaminations and requirements for radiation protection.

The Southern Scientific Radhound is a feature packed digital radiation monitor that is extremely simple, easy to use and cost effective. The count rate is displayed in large clear numbers and also on a bar scale. A steady display by our smart averaging software can be read with confidence while still providing a fast response.

For source finding, a one button push changes the display to a histogram plot. Alpha and Beta/Gamma counts are displayed separately or on the same screen.

The Radhound also has a time for surveying to count function.

Radhound Monitors

Adjustable tilt stand, for ease of viewing at all angles. Includes rechargeable lithium ion battery and mains charger. Features hardwired, coiled probe cable.

SSL/RADHOUNDX/E Radhound X/E Portable ratemeter with connector for use with full range of external probes, supplied separately. Rate, Source Finder, Integrator and Peak Reading modes. Suitable for use with multiple probes - save calibration settings of up to 5 different probes and switch between them in the instrument menu. Rugged stainless steel housing for use in industrial environments. Runs from 2 x 1.5V C-cell batteries. Requires a probe cable, supplied separately (see page 3).

SSL/RADHOUNDX/I Radhound X/I Portable survey meter with internal compensated Geiger detector for ambient dose-equivalent H*(10) gamma measurement. Dose rate range: Background - 2 mSv/hr.
