The Radhound X/E is a hand held advanced digital radiation monitor made by Southern Scientific with a range of probe options for all radiation protection requirements as well as contamination monitoring.

This instrument packed with features boasts of unique characteristics, the ability to switch between probes via the menu, a dose rate probe and a contamination probe configured for use with one instrument. This flexibility allows for any standard probe to be used (300-1200V).

Radhound X/E is capable of measuring dose rate, CPS, CPM, Bq/cm2 with alpha and beta discrimination. The menu on the instruments allows adjustment of high voltage, thresholds, over-range protection and dead time.

Great care has been taken to ensure the instruments are very easy to operate. The menu on the Radhound X/E easily can be locked by the user to ensure only basic options are available, providing greater security and protection against accidental setting changes.

Multiple probe library/configuration

Traditional and operating as a single probe, the Radhound X/E instrument allows the user to switch quickly between alternative probe setups. (The user when plugged is instructed to the correct probe before the application of the new settings thereby protecting against use of incorrect settings or the possibility of over voltage).

Alarm

With adjustable alarm threshold the Radhound X/E can set alarms additionally separating alpha and beta. Loud and clear, the sounder is suitable for use in many different environments. There is a symbol that flashes on the display when in alarm.

Scaler Timer

The Radhound X/E having a scaler time mode allows the integration of count for a preset time (or time to a preset count). The dose rate mode additionally can indicate dose to time.

Self-Test

The Radhound X/E when turned on automatically checks its health. The battery level, high voltage, sounders and the keyboard as well are checked.

Radhound Monitors
