LSI LASTEM Rain Gauge (DQA130.1#C)
The Rain Gauge is an instrument developed by LSI LASTEM to measure the quantity of rain. The Rain Gauge device comprises of a collector cone as well as the double chamber with tipping bucket that is connected to the magnet which operates 1 reed switch. It generates impulses which can be easily counted by an external meter. Every impulse is merely equal to the rainfall of 0.2mm. An external body is fully made up of anodized aluminium. For the sites with temperature of sub zero, a thermostatic heated model, assures the full melting of the snow, even in extreme temperature and avoids the formation of ice on their body.
The LSI LASTEM Rain Gauge data output of an DQA950-951 model is RS485 by using the TTY-ASCII and Modbus RTU protocols. The principle for the rain gauge is tripping bucket and the design is WMO accordance as well as the resolution is 0.2mm. It includes the accessories such as cable, integrator for DQA130, base plate for the ground installation, lateral support which requires DYA040 and mast mast mounting device. The housing is of aluminium and the calibration certificate is included in the LSI LASTEM Rain Gauge. The diameter and collector surface may differ from one model to another model.
