Watson Smith is part of the Norgren group which is a leading global supplier of motion and fluid control solutions.

As a group Norgren produces a whole family range of pressure control equipment sold throughout the whole world.

Originally founded over a century ago by John Watson and joined by John Smith in the 1950s, Watson Smith became a part of the IMI group in 1984.

Watson Smith has been a world leader in the design and manufacture of specialist pneumatic instrumentation for over twenty years.

Development

Watson Smith invests in the development of Electro - Pneumatics interfacing flexible electronic control with pneumatics.

Watson Smith is strongly committed to research and development.

Our electronic design, research and development include intensive validation testing, hybrid PCB integration and intelligent diagnostic software design.

We have developed our own electro pneumatic modelling software which allows us to design in a virtual environment.

A strong management team is in place to effect the necessary support and controls to business operations. Each production line is fully computerised and networked for 100% testing.

Certifications

  Watson Smith's quality system is approved to the internationally recognised standard ISO 9001.
  We have received the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard approval for the design, manufacture and in-house repair of electro-pneumatic and electronic control and measurement instrumentation.
  Our products have received hazardous area approvals from Baseefa, SIRA (for ATEX), FM and CSA.
  Watson Smith is also recognised for the Queen's Award for Export Achievement.
